Sprays, Markers, Burgers and all that~

In collaboration with Knock knock Magazine, I’ve made a brand new ‘Shyboy’ sticker, leading up to Knock Knock’s big event at Vivid Sydney in two weeks. Knock Knock loves street art and Knock Knock loves supporting local artists, so it only makes sense I did a play on our favourite, always consistent, brand of paint! The photo is a collection of things that reflect mine and cofounder of Knock Knock, Tom Grove’s personalities. Hope you all like It

City Sessions

I did the new poster for City Sessions VOL.2. Presented byFreestyle Academy, City Sessions is a showcase of hip hop dance, breaking, live DJing, street art and all of them funky, feel-good vibes.

This event goes nuts with people, so be sure to get down on it, Kool G Rap style~

Creepy Guy

I was asked by Bar Ampere to come in and shadow the walls with something loose and not usual. I took this as a chance to create some work more similar to my drawings. It was a nice big piece that I painted on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

“Never forget who made you!”

My mum always repeats that phrase to me and my sister. I know I’m a day late, but I wanted this to be perfect! If your mum is your own personal chef, a taxi service, a cleaning team, an iron, a folding machine, a reminder you were once a crying/pooing baby and a best friend, then I think we all owe them, not just one day, but a lifetime of love and respect.

1000 FOLLOWERS FOR @thedoubleone!

On the ol’ Instagrill I hit 1000 burgerinos! I was so #happy, I never thought putting hashtags after #everything would lead to such a following. I was skeptical about Instagram at first, but was then like #yolo and just did it.

DIrty Playground

So ends another great chapter in the Eleven book. Dirty Playground was a huge success and there were lots of people coming through to show support. I’d like to thank all the friends who came all the way out on a Sunday night to see me! Thanks to all the lovely people I chatted with on the night too, you guys were fun!

After working so hard to get as much hype into Dirty Playground as I could, staying up late designing posters/stickers, calling in favours for promotions and getting in trouble for putting up a sticker was all worth it. All the tees I designed sold out and stickers went like hot cakes. My piece turned out as wild as I wanted it to and I had lots of fun.

I look forward to the future.

1001 LIKES!

Yesterday I hit 1000 likes! I was over the moon and told everyone in the room (there were only 4 other people). A huge milestone that means a million to me. Your continued support means more to me than you can imagine. With every like and every comment, my confidence is reinforced and I can reassure myself that I’m doing things right.

However, I was thrown into a sour mood when I noticed this morning, that the number jumped up to 1001. Alfred Evans, the sneaky devil, came in last minute and ruined my plans of making a proper milestone post. All good though, I kid you Alfred, you’re a good bloke.

This is one small step for me and one giant leap for burgers.
