Me and Smick

Three bags, step ladder, bucket hat and my trusty Cortez’s. After battling the heat, crossing mountains(hills) and sliding down the serpentine roads that stood in our way, we finally made it to the spot. Invited by the shade and cool breeze, we got started immediately.

In total, it took us 6 hours. That’s 6 hours too long, in my opinion, but we wanted to get it perfect. A nice little production with the fresh amigo, Smick. I painted a portrait of him as his “i” and I also painted a self portrait of myself on the left. A striking resemblance, I know.

Another successful production from this dynamic duo. A fantastically carnivorous dinner followed, to which we laughed ‘till our bellies were sore.

A sore index finger, I suppose I will have to start pointing with the next finger in line.

Digital Does

How do you describe this spray wizard? Perhaps those are the wrong words, more fondly, an aerosol assassin? Does LoveLetters is one of the finest style machines on the planet, let alone a tactician with paint. He means serious business and he brings his A game to the wall every time. I’ve been following Does for awhile now and I’ve seen such a hige development in both style and innovation. I can only say his work continues to boggle my mind and I can’t see his progress in innovation coming to any halts. Friendlier than a grizzly bear and healthier than a tree (a really healthy tree), he is Does, of the infamous Love Letters crew.

Here’s a double exposed film photo I took of him. He has a spectacular solo show coming up in Melbourne. Keep your eyes and ears open~

Getting tired, getting lazy. For the 3 days of me being in melbourne I’ve gone painting and managed to tire myself quite well. Already planning tomorrows sketches

My good buddy S-701a is back in Melbourne town for a little while, so what better way to spend our time than paint walls? We got together and painted this tiny production in Union Lane. Lots of friendly tourists, not enough free food. I’m tired as balls now, really tired balls, but happy with my recent paintings.

If I’m having a good day, I like to come home and celebrate by listening to ACDC’s ‘Highway to Hell’.

Swimming pools

KAZZOOZOO!
I woke up late today, so I didn’t get to go have fun with Ruskidd and S-701a. After making myself a burnt omelette, I decided to go on a solo mission. Some fun in the sun at a new spot I’ve found. I had to gather rocks to make for footing, as it was all mud and water. Of course, clumsy me stepped into the mud and water regardless.

A week in paint

Here’s a photo recap of a fun-filled week that included the New Year, Does’ trip in Melbourne and the WSW wall in Windsor. For one, it was too hot for anything and being surrounded by so many amazing artists just added to the humidity in my mind. I can’t complain, it was a good way to the end the year. Does is a tactician and being able to see him paint in the flesh was amazing. That being said, painting a little doorway while huge two-storey murals are being completed beside you is also insane. Thanks to the WSW guys for inviting me along to add to the amazing muralisation.
