2FUDDHA @ Wasteland
After painting yesterday, I decided to catch up with old friends, neglected due to my busy art life. I thought it was just going to be a dinner, but we ended at a mate’s place playing Monopoly. 9-Player monopoly is fun for no one. The turns take years and property so sparse, it’s not even funny when you barely own anything. Friends quickly become enemies.
We finished at 1:30am. I got home, settled and spent the next 2-3 hours making a poster. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, but being so tired, it so much longer. I’m happy with how it turned out, but getting only 3 hours sleep is hardly a reward.

I had the pleasure of painting with Phoenix Empire today, as well as enjoying the company of Sunny River Photography & Design. I came to Phoenix’s place with no plan in mind of what I wanted to paint. I was already a few hours late and Phoenix had already started. When Sunny asked what I was going to paint, I simply replied, “I don’t know, but I want to try something different”. I don’t know my way around a brush, so I figured I’d use that to my advantage.
This is a result of me trying to do some futurism and abstract a character. I knew I wanted to paint the black around it to give it a very traditional feel.
I’m quite happy with how it turned out. I’ll make sure to refine this in future.

Here’s the final product of my piece for the ILL-Logic exhibition. It was an insane night and I’m honoured to have been apart of it. The piece took forever to complete and just as long to cut out. I’m incredibly grateful for the help, patience and persistence of Shaun with the piece as It wouldn’t be what it is without him. Thanks a zillion Shaun. I’m super happy with how the work came out and think it exceeds my own expectations.
